Nvidia had identified five exploits in the previous NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver that could allow attackers to modify privilege settings, deny service and even perform local code executions, rendering your device unusable to you.

With a base score on security threat of 8.8 – Nvidia has deemed this vulnerability highly dangerous and you should look to update your driver as soon as possible. Other dangerous flaws found include vulnerabilities in DirectX drivers which could also lead to denial of service or code execution.

These are the Nvidia GPU models and driver versions that are at risk:

According to Tech Radar, these exploits would require the attacker to have local access to your system, so unless you’re working in, say, a co-working space or even your own office space, you’re in danger of being a victim. You can get more information here.
