Nintendo is still holding on to their family-friendly way of selling their products with the introduction of Nintendo Labo. Built using cardboard sheets, these tools will allow you to turn the Switch into different types of controllers that will interact with Labo games.

Labo will come in different kits with different designs and parts to build the cardboard into tools and it comes with its own game cartridges with the specific game for the kit. The pre-cut cardboards will allow kids to simply remove the pieces and assemble them into a particular tool. Currently, there are two kits listed on Nintendo’s website, a variety pack that retails for $70 which includes a piano, motorcycle handle bards and a house. There is an $80 kit that can be assembled into a wearable robot suit to play a mecha like game. You might find paying that amount for cardboards is too expensive but it is an impressive way of interacting with the Switch, and with the low-cost production, there will be users out there fabricating their own cardboard kits that will probably surpass the quality that Nintendo provides with theirs.

The Nintendo Switch is not really catered to kids as they have games like Doom and Skyrim already out for the console. This could be the chance the company needs to capture its younger audience and perhaps even the older ones.
