New Apple AirPods will come with Siri integration this year

The first Apple AirPods debuted in 2016 and after two years, the company is finally released an updated version of their wireless earpieces. The noticeable difference between the old and new is that it will come with an improved wireless chip and the function to call upon Siri by saying “Hey Siri”.

Bloomberg later suggested that Apple will make the AirPods water-resistant next year. Apple has the most convenient connecting Bluetooth earpieces thanks to the usage of the W1 chip. It allows the AirPods and iPhone to connect to each other seamlessly and provides a great transfer rate between the earpiece and the phone. It’s no surprise that with the rise in wireless headsets and the removal of the 3.5mm jack in most modern phones, the need for an alternative audio listing device is higher than ever before. Which is probably why Apple is already planning ahead with their AirPods line.

Google has already integrated Assistant with their recently released Pixel Buds, a Bluetooth earphone which also comes with language translation built-in. However, the language translation is not the best and still needs some work. We will see if Apple will just be integrating Siri into the AirPods, or they will add more features to the earpieces.
