Netflix has been a great app to watch movies and series but its recent update on its iOS app is going to please its users even more because it offers better playback controls.

The most impactful update will probably be the buttons that allow users to fast forward or rewind 10 seconds when they’re watching something on Netflix. Previously, Netflix has only allowed users to rewind their shows with a tiny button on the bottom left, but now it has been changed to bigger buttons that appears in the centre of the screen, the rewind button on the left and the fast forward button on the right. Similar to YouTube, users can double tap their screens on the left/right to rewind/fast forward the timeline of their shows.

Speaking of the button size, the play/pause button has also been increased to a bigger size so it’s more convenient to be liked on. In addition to that, Netflix also added labels to the bottom of the screen for Episodes, Audio & Subtitles and Next Episode so that users can easily click on these options compared to the previous icons-only interface that was located on the top right of the screen. In addition to that, the Next Episode button is also a new feature for the iOS app as it is previously unavailable. Now users can easily skip to the next episode whenever they want.

Netflix’s changes in the playback controls is available in the latest version which is version 11.12.0, and can be downloaded for free on App Store.
