Netflix is taking a step forward to make their platform more interactive by adding interactive storytelling catered more towards its younger audience, giving you the option on what type of story to watch and how the story will progress based on the decisions of the viewers.

Now I don’t know how your childhood was, but during my time, every time I watched TV my parents will question me, why do I spend so much time in front of the “idiot box”. With this new feature, instead of TV watching being a passive experience, kids can enjoy watching a story unfold based on evaluating the outcomes and selecting a path they want the story to go towards. Parents can also rest easy knowing that their kids are not just glued to the TV watching the “idiot box”, but actually interacting as well.

Netflix has already launched one of these interactive titles with the first being Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale and Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile which will release on July 14.
