Motorola is back in Malaysia with e40 and Edge 20 Pro!

For the past few years, Motorola hasn’t been seen a lot in Malaysia as we might not be the priority market for the brand. Today however, Motorola has announced its latest addition to its smartphone family by releasing the Motorola e40 and Motorola Edge 20 Pro. Catering to consumers who prioritise battery life and camera quality, Motorola has finally returned to Malaysia.

Motorola e40

Made for the entry-level market, the Motorola e40 is aimed at giving its consumers the best possible value at an affordable price. It sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD, HD+ display panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The front camera features a punch-hole design rather than a notch so you can expect to be fully immersed in what you’re doing with little to no distractions.   Under the hood, you get a UNISOC T700 octa-core chipset, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable of up to 1TB using a microSD card.

The phone packs a triple-lens setup which consists of a 48MP main camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. For the selfies, there’s a 8MP shooter.

Powering the phone is a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports USB-C fast chargers with a power rating of up to 10W. Motorola claims that you can get up to 40 hours with just one single charge, meaning you won’t have to worry about the phone dying on you as you spend your day without a charger.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro

Compared to the e40, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro is aimed to help creative individuals produce their content efficiently. This device features a triple-camera design that includes a 108MP ultra high-resolution main camera, 16MP ultra-wide camera, and 8MP periscope camera with 50x Super Zoom.

For videos, you can record in an impressive 8K resolution, which is a first for Motorola smartphones. The brand is also introducing ‘Super Slow Slow Motion’ which allows you to record 960 high-definition frames per second, making sure you capture every little detail.

Aside from the camera, the device uses advanced microphones to filter out ambient noises and voices, saving you the time needed to edit the audio of your video. The device sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and DCI-P3 colour gamut.

With a Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile Platform, 12GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage, you can expect to run multiple apps with no lag at all. This product runs on a 4,500mAh battery that can be charged with a 30W fast charger.

To celebrate the launch of its new smartphones, Motorola is running  some promotions on their official stores and customers can get a RM50 discount voucher on their purchase of a brand-new Motorola e40 in Carbon Gray from 8 November – 31 December 2021.

The Motorola e40 is currently available in Lenovo Exclusive Stores (LES) and Lenovo’s official Shopee and Lazada stores at a starting price of RM599 whereas the Motorola Edge 20 Pro will be coming to Malaysia soon at a starting price of RM2,499.
