Microsoft has finally announced that you can now pre-order the Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 in Malaysia, and both devices have been available for pre-orders since yesterday.
The Surface Pro 6 was officially launched last year and sports a 12.3-inch PixelSense display weighing at only 770 grams, it is claimed to be able to last for up to 13.5 hours.
Besides that, the device is powered by a quad-core 8th Generation Intel Core processor that can perform 1.5 times faster than its predecessor. Users can opt between the Intel i5 or the Intel i7 processors, depending on their needs. The Surface Pro 6 starts with 8GB RAM but can be upgraded to 16GB RAM and has SSD storage up to 512GB.
Moving on, the Surface Laptop 2 sports a 13.5-inch PixelSense Display that supports 10 point multi-touch. It is said to be able to last up to 14.5 hours, and comes with a USB 3.0 port, a Mini DisplayPort, a Surface Connect port and a headphone jack.
Like the Surface Pro 6, the Surface Laptop 2 also equips the quad-core 8th Generation Intel Core processor though it only comes with the Intel i5 processor option. That aside, the laptop comes with 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB SSD storage.
The Surface Pro 6 is available in the colour Platinum and it has few configurations as such:
- Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD: RM4,399
- Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD: RM5,799
- Intel i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD: RM7,079
- Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD: RM8,999
The Surface Laptop 2 which is also only available in Platinum colour has two options as below:
- Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD: RM4,829
- Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD: RM6,199
Besides that, there are also Surface accessories that will go well with the Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2. The price for the accessories are listed as below:

These devices and accessories can be pre-ordered via authorised retailers such as ALL IT, Harvey Norman, Lazada and others and also authorised commercial resellers such as Prestariang, SoftwareOne, Ingram Micro and others. Its official sales will generally begin from 15 January 2019.
