The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go is now available to pre-order in Malaysia today from RM2,758, making it one of the more affordable Surface laptops in the country.
The 12.4-inch laptop comes with a PixelSense touchscreen display that has thin borders on the top and sides. It pushes a resolution of 1536x1024p with a 148ppi pixel density. The design of the laptop is minimal with its platinum metal finish. The laptop weighs just 1.1KGs and has a thickness of 15.69mm, making it quite a portable device.
Under the hood is an Intel Core i5-1035G1 chipset along with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage. Do note that the top-spec 16GB+256GB model is only available for businesses and not consumers. For consumers, you get up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of SSD storage.
When it comes to battery life, Microsoft claims that you can get up to 13 hours of life on a typical usage. The laptop ships with a 39W charging brick too.
For connectivity, you get 1x USB-C, 1x USB-A, 1x Surface Connect port for charging, and one 3.5mm headphone jack. The Surface Laptop Go supports Bluetooth 5.0 as well as WiFi 6 connectivity, which is a standard for laptops in 2020.
The device comes with a 720p HD webcam, along with studio mics for your video conferencing needs; while ‘Omnisonic Speakers’ with Dolby Audio support are also present for your media consumption purposes.
