Microsoft releases update pack with five years worth of patches

For those of you who have just recently installed a fresh copy of Windows 7, we have some good news for you. Microsoft has just recently bundled five years worth of updates into a single package which you can download and install right now.

This update package works almost like the Service Pack on other Windows releases, except that Microsoft isn’t officially labelling this bundled update as Service Pack 2. In order to get access to this update package though, your Windows 7 must be updated to Service Pack 1. Once that’s done, you’re going to need to find and download the Convenience rollup update manually. After installing it, you can continue to use Windows 7 as per normal

Aside from this update package, Microsoft will also be offering monthly rollups for non-security updates for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1. Every month, Windows will be packaging all non-security fixes that were released throughout the month into a single update, allowing you to install all of them without having to go through multiple reboots.
