When macOS Mojave was out, one of its highlights is the dark mode that was intended to bring more focus to users. Now Microsoft is trying to bring the dark mode to the Office apps on macOS Mojave to compliment the Mojave update.

This is not the first time Microsoft brings in dark mode though, as the Windows 10’s update has dark mode for the File Explorer and the Outlook site also sports the same dark mode that can be switched on/off at the settings icon.

The dark mode will only be available for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and are already available to beta testers with the public release coming soon, possibly reaching the Office 365 subscribers first.

Hopefully, the dark mode will not be limited to only the three main Office apps, and other Office apps will soon receive the same update. On a side note, Microsoft’s new update will also include a new ribbon and icon styling in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
