Microsoft has taken a page out of Apple’s playbook as the company is now offering something called a Surface Membership plan for its Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 and Surface 3.
The Surface Membership plan works much like Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, allowing those interested to keep up with the latest Surface hardware and buy the devices on a monthly payment plan. Available for business users, the membership plan will net members a Surface device, as well as setup, personal training, in-store tech support, an extended service plan, Accidental Damage Protection, and free upgrades when newer models become available
Monthly membership costs varies depending on the device chosen, but it begins at USD 32.99 per month if you opt for a Surface 3 with a 30-month installment. The most expensive offer available is USD 220.99 with a fully maxed out Surface Book.
There are two things to note though. Firstly, the Surface Membership plan is open strictly to business, although the offer seems to allow you to place an order for a single unit. Secondly, this offer is currently unavailable for Malaysia, so it remains to be seen if the Surface Membership plan would be available outside the states.
