Xiaomi recently launched the Mi 11 as the first phone to come with the Snapdragon 888 chipset, but reports are now suggesting that the Mi 11 Pro is on its way.
Mi 11 Pro to launch after Lunar New Year
If we look at the Mi 10 series, the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were launched in February this year. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Mi 11 Pro will follow the trend and launch in February next year, and it’s likely to debut after Lunar New Year.
Pro model will get the Mi 11’s display
The Mi 11 Pro is expected to sport a similar display as the Mi 11. This means that it’ll come with a 6.81-inch AMOLED panel that supports 120Hz refresh rate. It’ll also be protected by the Corning Gorilla Victus and will likely have the same punch hole cutout on the top left.
Cameras and charging will be upgraded
We also expect the device to support up to 12GB RAM, but perhaps Xiaomi will offer up to 512GB of storage — the Mi 11 only offers up to 256GB of storage. Camera-wise, we’re expecting the same 108MP lens, but Xiaomi may add an additional lens or upgrade the existing ones on the Mi 11 for the pro model. Perhaps the company will include a dual-selfie lens instead of a single 20MP lens too.
Reports also suggest that the Mi 11 Pro will come with faster charging, so be prepared for something better than the Mi 11’s 55W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
