Local telco company Maxis is making its first move into the smartphone market as the company announced the arrival of its own smartphone. The smartphone in question is the NeXT M1.
While Maxis has yet to release the full specifications of the NeXT M1, Maxis did reveal that the phone will come with an octa-core processor, a 5.5″ HD display, and a 13MP camera with auto-focus
As is the case with smartphones offered by telcos, those looking to get the NeXT M1 will need to sign up for Maxis’ Postpaid Starter Plan. This requirement also applies to current Maxis users who are subscribed to a MaxisONE plan of their own. Those who decide to sign up for the Postpaid Starter Plan can get the phone for RM78 per month, which includes the NeXT M1 smartphone, a 24-month warranty which includes instant one for one replacement and six months screen protection, and 4GB of data and 50 minutes of free calls.
For those who are interested, the NeXT M1 will be offered starting from today.
