MakeApp can remove makeup from your face to make your selfies look bad

Those of you, for whatever reason need to send a bad selfie, should be happy to know that there is now an app that will make it easier to get a bad selfie shot even if you have makeup on. The app is called MakeApp which works as a marquee feature that removes the makeup on your face.

The app uses neural networks to apply effects which they claim does it more accurately than competing services, which services provide a feature like this is still unknown at the moment but it uses similar methods like what the Prisma app uses to transform your pictures into works of art. As you can see from the images, the app seems to work pretty well except for the fact that it makes your skin pale and does a good job removing lipstick even if the gloss is still there. However, users are complaining about the app giving the selfie blotchy skin to which the app’s creator said that it’s not great and its something they are hoping to fix.

They made the app without the intention of it being a misogynistic product, but rather to show off the augmented reality capabilities that the company is capable of achieving. The free app is available for both iOS and Android if you want to mess around with it.
