MacOS Sierra is now live

After nearly three months in Beta, macOS Sierra has gone live and is now available for download by anyone that owns a Mac.

First debuting back at WWDC, Mac users were able to download the Beta version of Apple’s latest OS for the Mac since July. However, for those of you who prefer to wait for complete version, you’ll be able to download the OS right now via the App Store on Mac. MacOS Sierra brings with it Apple’s own virtual assistant, Siri, to your Mac, alongside other features like a universal clipboard, revamped Messages, a storage optimization tool, picture-in-picture view and many others. If you have an Apple Watch, you’ll also be able to unlock your macOS Sierrra with it.

While macOS Sierra has been rolled out to the public, do note that the update is only available for certain Mac models. Macs that were purchased prior to 2009 will not be able to receive the update, and even then, some Macs may not be able to support some of the features that are introduced with Sierra. Do consult this webpage to find out if Sierra will be supported on your Mac.
