M2 iPad Pro with MagSafe charging may arrive this fall

As we are about to begin Q2 of 2022, news of the next iPad Pro has been revealed by Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman with it having a new M2 Chip and inductive MagSafe charging.

We have heard rumors of the M2 Chip again and again, but the iPad Pro definitely won’t be the first device to use it as we are looking at the next generation MacBook Air for it to debut on.

However, it will certainly be interesting to see how Apple might incorporate MagSafe charging on the iPad Pro, though MagSafe wireless charging like the iPhone 13 is definitely out of the question due to its low wattage, we are hoping it will be like the MacBook Pro’s MagSafe connector for charging, which will help resolve the lack of ports and allow users to connect an external device while charging the device over a different connector.

Design wise, we should expect very minor changes as well as Apple tends to keep its design for years before moving on to the next one. As for the M2 chip, reports suggest that it will feature an 8-core CPU and 4nm process made by TSMC, but let’s also hope Apple updates the next iPadOS to properly take full advantage of the chip and RAM.
