The LG V30 has often been dubbed as as the Pixel 2 XL with a headphone jack. Aside from its software and its slightly inferior camera compared to the Google handset, the statement appears to be very much true. Now LG has upped the ante in the competition, unveiling a ceramic version of the V30 which will be sold in a very limited quantity, exclusively in South Korea. The LG V30 Signature Edition has been launched and it certainly looks attractive.

The beautifully crafted ceramic material makes it more durable than the usual glass. Among the specs that do remain the same from the regular version are the 6-inch P-OLED screen, the Snapdragon 835 processor, 256GB storage and the 16MP + 13MP dual camera setup. The memory has been bumped up from 4GB to 6GB, which means that it can handle more tasks simultaneously.

One other surprise of the LG V30 Signature Edition is the fact that it runs Android Oreo out of the box. LG made the headlines last year when the LG V20 was the first ever smartphone that operates Android Nougat. Only 300 units of the ceramic LG V30 will be sold and although pricing information hasn’t been revealed, some reports point to a more premium price than Apple’s iPhone X.
