LG has been teasing the arrival of its FullVision display to another device of its since the G6 earlier this year. Earlier this morning, the South Korean manufacturer has finally unveiled not one, but three variants of the LG Q6, all of which feature LG’s near bezel-less front with FullVision display.
The LG Q6 series marks three new additions to LG’s current batch of mid range smartphones. The devices are known as the LG Q6a, LG Q6 and LG Q6+. These three handsets feature identical designs with 7000 series aluminium, the only differences lying underneath the hood, which will be talked about later. All three models sport 5.5-inch Full HD+ displays with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The near bezel-less front allows for easier one handed usage.
The LG Q6a, Q6 and Q6+ all run on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC and the differences only lie within the memory and storage. The Q6a has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, the regular Q6 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the Q6+ maxes out these areas with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
All three feature the same camera setup, consisting of a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP wide angle selfie shooter. An added bonus is the the LG Q6 is equipped with LG’s proprietary facial recognition technology for unlocking the screen. All three models pack the same 3,000mAh battery, which sounds just about right.
The price tags of the three LG Q6 variants haven’t been revealed just yet, but LG has indicated that the phones will be available for sale in Asia in August 2017, before eventually rolling out worldwide.
