The 2nd generation of Ryzen processors have already surfaced and it started with the 2nd generation Ryzen 7 processors. There was no mentioned of the specs when it comes to the new generation of Ryzen 3 and 5 processors until now which comes as a specs sheet from Lenovo.
The company put up the spec sheet for its ThinkCentre M725 small form-factor desktop, and it mentions the detailed specs of the AMD Ryzen 3 2300X and Ryzen 5 2500X which was made for the mid-range market and to compete with Intel’s Core i3 processors that have roughly the same clock speeds. The Ryzen 3 2300X comes with 4-cores and 4-threads, a base clock speed of 3.50GHz and a boost speed of 4.00GHz and supports up to 64GB of memory. The Ryzen 5 2500X, on the other hand, comes with 4-cores and 8-threads, a base clock speed of 3.60GHz, boost speed of 4.00GHz and the same support for 64GB of memory.
Both processors have a TDP of 65W which is similar to its Core i3 competitors. It is always best to wait for the official announcement from AMD as the processors here could be tuned to meet Lenovo expectations.
