Lenovo has had a busy morning today as the company brought in the high concept Yoga Book as well as the entire Phab 2 series of smartphones.
We begin with the Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 whose biggest feature is the Halo Keyboard, a keyboard that can be turned on or off with the touch of a button. When in use, the Halo Keyboard comes with haptic feedback that informs the user if they keystroke is registered. Additionally, the Yoga Book also supports predictive typing. Once the keyboard is toggled off, the surface turns into a tablet. The Yoga Book comes with the Real Pen, a dual-use stylus that can be used to take notes or sketch, with every action appearing on the screen itself.
As for specifications, the Yoga Book sports an Intel Atom x5-z8550 processor, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and an 8.500 mAh battery that translates to a 15-hour battery life. The Yoga Book will come in both Windows and Android variants. The retail price of either version of the Yoga Book is RM2,599 and it will be made available by the end of December.
Moving on, we have the Phab 2 series of smartphones by Lenovo that will be launched in mid-December. Widely known as the first series of smartphones that comes with Google Tango support, the Phab 2 series consists of the baseline Phab 2, the middle-of-the-line Phab 2 Plus, and the flagship Phab 2 Pro. For the Phab 2, this device comes with a 6.4″ 720p IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek MTK 8735 Quad-Core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of on-board storage that is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. The Phab 2 comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP camera, and has a 4,050 mAh battery. The Phab 2 retails for RM899.
Next on the list is the Phab 2 Plus. This particular configuration comes with a 6.4″ Full HD IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek MTK 8783 Octa-Core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of on-board storage which is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. For the camera, the Phab 2 Plus houses a 13MP Dual Camera at the rear and a 8MP Fixed Focus camera at the front. Much like the Phab 2, the Phab 2 Plus comes with a 4,050 mAh battery. The Phab 2 Plus retails for RM1,299.
Rounding up the list of devices, we have the Phab 2 Pro. The flagship of the Phab 2 series of smartphones comes with a 6.4″ Quad HD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage that is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. The device sports a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP Fixed Focus front camera, and a 4,050 mAh battery with fast charging technology. The Phab 2 Pro retails for RM1,899.
