With the release of Ryzen and benchmarks showing it performing better than its Intel counterpart for a much cheaper price, a leak has surfaced hinting at a new processor from Intel which will have 12 cores and will be called i9. The plans were leaked on AnandTech’s board which is in German showing the full upcoming lineup.

The most powerful option for the new processors will be 12 cores and will run at 140W which will be meant for desktop computers. Of course, with all top-range Intel processors, expect to pay a premium price which in this case could be more than $1000. Other options will feature a 6,8 or 10 core processor and if running a single-thread task, the Turbo Clock 3.0 will kick in running those tasks at higher clock speeds.

These new CPU from Intel will be announced very soon with some of them shipping in June and the high-end i9 will ship in August. As usual, all of this are still rumors and no official news has surfaced on the new processors, stay tune to us as we will update you if anything else surfaces.
