As Leagoo continues to gain momentum in selling its entry-level smartphones, the company isn’t sitting on its laurels and has unveiled the new Leagoo T1 smartphone today, the T1 sports a metal unibody design that measures 7.5mm thin and a 2.5D curved glass display, it also has a rather impressive rear mounted fingerprint scanner that unlocks the phone as fast as 0.19 seconds.
The Leagoo T1 is the first Leagoo smartphone to come preloaded with the company’s Leagoo OS 2.0 software based on Android 6.0, it is powered by a 64-bit Quad Core 1.3GHz processor paired to 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of built-in memory, users can also expand the phone’s memory up to 128GB via a MicroSD card. Furthermore, you’ll find a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a Samsung 4H5 13-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel front camera with flash and a 2400mAh battery. Lastly, the phone accepts two SIM cards and supports 4G LTE connectivity.
One of the interesting software features highlighted in the phone is Leagoo’s Parallel Space, which allows you to sign in to multiple accounts of a social media service in a single device, apps that are being supported includes WeChat, WhatsApp and Facebook, assuming this is a feature of Leagoo’s OS 2.0 software it should also be available to the company’s current phone models if it decides to issue an OTA update.
The Leagoo T1 is available in three colour options – Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Titanium Grey, it retails at an affordable RM549 price tag and becomes a serious contender to other Chinese players in the same price range if you consider its features and design. On top of that, Leagoo Malaysia is giving away freebies worth RM70 when customers purchase the phone, that includes a TPU case, a tempered glass screen protector and a flip case.
