If you think a 120Hz refresh rate is impressive and the best you can find in a smartphone’s display, well, you’re wrong. Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO plans to launch the Neo 3 5G with a 144Hz refresh rate on April 23.
To be fair, the iQOO Neo 3 5G will not be the first to sport a 144Hz refresh rate — Nubia has already released its Red Magic 5G last month that boasts a 144Hz display. However, this is a leap for iQOO as its previous phones had always been using 60Hz display.
The Neo 3 5G will still be using an LCD panel despite upgrading its refresh rate. The display is expected to support FHD+ resolution and feature a punch-hole for its camera. Just like many of the flagships we’ve seen this year, the Neo 3 5G should be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor and come with UFS 3.1 storage.
You should also expect this phone to house a 48MP quad-camera setup, in addition to a 4,500mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. The battery isn’t the biggest or fastest out there, but it should suffice for gamers.
