Apple is set to go big with the storage of the iPhone 7, after an alleged picture of the phone’s camera module and a few flash memory chips appear in an image which was just surfaced online on none other than Chinese micro blogging site, Weibo.
The leaked image shows a dual-lens camera module, which has been rumored and dropped over and over again through various leaks and claims. Some say that the dual-lens setup will only be on the iPhone 7 Plus while the iPhone 7 will only sport a single lens. In addition to that, three SanDisk flash memory chips are shown alongside the camera module, in three different memory capacities – 16GB, 64GB and 256GB. The existence of a 16GB for the iPhone may strike many as odd since 16GB will most probably be insufficient, especially for a phone without expandable memory.
Also, the 128GB memory variant seems to be missing and replaced by the larger 256GB chip. Despite of that, we’re sticking with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB memory options. The iPhone 7 is rumored to be carrying 3GB of RAM alongside Apple’s next-gen A10 processor. It is also said to omit the headphone jack, resulting in an even slimmer form factor. What do you think?
