iOS and tvOS 11.3 update comes without AirPlay 2 due to unresolved bugs

It looks like Apple users will not be getting access to Apple’s AirPlay 2, as the feature seemed to be removed from the update for both iOS and tvOS. This means that the HomePod will not be getting the multi-room stereo parring and it will not be available on the Apple TV as well.

It was believed that AirPlay 2 will come with the new update and users were keen on trying out the updated version of AirPlay which can interact with the HomePod. As of now, users can use third-party software like Airfoil to cast content over to the HomePod. The update to AirPlay is the first major update it has received since its debut seven years ago which came with promises of reduced latency and casting to multiple devices separately.

We were teased that AirPlay 2 will come to the 11.3 update from sources and developers that took apart the update to observe future features and other optimizations, but it seems that Apple pulled the update due to issues that are still unresolved with AirPlay 2.
