Instagram is undoubtedly one of the most popular social apps out there right now. The Facebook owned app is notoriously known for feature for feature copying of its competitor, Snapchat. Regardless, Instagram has been gaining more ground on Snapchat as it adds new features to its app. The latest feature to make its way to Instagram is being able to add a friend to your live stream.
This is a pretty new update by Instagram, and not all users have access to it just yet. Basically, users will be able to add a friend to their live stream on Instagram. By doing so, your friend will then appear in a separate streaming screen, turning it into a dual screen broadcast. The live stream will be equally split into two halves, the top half occupied by your broadcast and the bottom half by your selected friend. In order to trigger the dual screen live stream, you only have to tap on the button with two smiley’s.
The update is currently being tested by only a handful of users. But this new handy feature will soon make its way gradually to all Instagram users worldwide.insyt
