Instagram redesigns Stories previews and tests Stop-Motion camera

Instagram is back at it again with a new update and features added to the Stories section of the app. Prior to this, they released an entertaining feature called Superzoom which will record a close up of the subject while adding suspenseful music to the video. Now they are in the process of testing a new stop-motion camera feature.

The Stories preview box now has a tiled design that is more obvious when scrolling through the Instagram feed. They also mentioned that they are not going to replace the mid-feed box that looks similar to the smaller Stories bar at the top of the feed. Other than that, they are testing a Stop Motion tool that is designed to let users take a series of photos which is then stitched together to form a GIF.

The Stop Motion feature can be accessed inside the Story camera in the same area as the Boomerang and the Superzoom features. It will not be available for everyone immediately but as it is still being tested by a group of users.
