Infinix marked another major milestone in Malaysia’s esports scene as the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 16 concluded its high-stakes playoffs at MAEPS Serdang from 13 to 16 November. As the Official Gaming Smartphone Partner, Infinix equipped all participating professional players with the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which made its tournament debut this season after succeeding the GT 20 Pro used during Season 15.

Season 16 delivered one of the most intense campaigns to date. After six weeks of regular-season clashes at Dewan Sri Putra, six teams advanced to the playoffs: Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG), CG Esports, Homebois, Aero Esports, Monster Vicious and Team Vamos. The Grand Finals brought together SRG and CG Esports in a much-anticipated matchup, with SRG emerging victorious to claim their fourth consecutive MPL Malaysia title, extending an unprecedented winning streak from Season 13 through Season 16. Both SRG and CG Esports also secured their spots at the upcoming M7 World Championship, MOONTON Games’ premier global tournament.

Throughout the season, all players trained, scrimmed and competed exclusively on the Infinix GT 30 Pro, a device engineered to meet the demands of professional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gameplay. The smartphone’s MediaTek Dimensity 8350 5.5G chipset delivered the ultra-responsive performance needed for high-pressure competitive play, while its 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display provided exceptional motion clarity. Stable 120fps support in MLBB ensured athletes could execute precise skills and movement during frantic team fights, and the 3D VCC Cooling system maintained consistent temperatures during prolonged matches.

A key technological highlight of Season 16 was ZoneTouch Master, Infinix’s advanced AI-powered touch optimisation system. The feature dynamically adapts touch response across different on-screen zones, enhancing joystick sliding, stabilising short-distance mini-map maneuvers, improving accuracy for rapid skill tapping, and ensuring smooth drag controls for camera adjustments. For professional players whose performance hinges on frame-perfect inputs, this added layer of precision became a competitive advantage.

Infinix also expanded its support for the local esports community by sponsoring Homebois, Monster Vicious, Aero Esports and CG Esports throughout the season. CG Esports stood out as one of the season’s biggest breakthroughs, transitioning from debutants to Grand Final contenders and earning their first appearance on the M7 World Championship stage.

“Season 16 truly reflected the growth and passion of Malaysian mobile esports,” said Wai Kiat Hong, Marketing Director of Infinix Malaysia. “The GT 30 Pro debuted this season as the Official Gaming Smartphone of MPL Malaysia, and we’re proud to see it perform consistently under tournament pressure. Congratulations to Selangor Red Giants on their incredible fourth championship and to CG Esports for their remarkable debut season performance. We look forward to continuing our support as Malaysian teams take on the world stage.”

With MPL Malaysia Season 16 now concluded, Infinix reinforces its commitment to strengthening the nation’s esports ecosystem and delivering high-performance technology that elevates gameplay for both professional athletes and everyday gamers across the country.
