If you haven’t yet known, Alcatel has always been pushing out handsets which are affordable, and those phones do perform pretty well for their respective prices. We have more IFA 2016 news for you, and this time, Alcatel has announced a budget glass and metal phone for “selfies with style”. Meet the Alcatel Shine Lite, the selfie centric phone for an affordable price tag.

Though Alcatel did not reveal much of the Shine Lite’s specs, we’ve gotten most of its key specs for now. First off, the phone features a pretty premium design for its class, with a glass and metal combination for its material. The rear of the device is seen covered with glass, with a metal frame. The Shine Lite sports a 720p display at 5 inches, which is alright for what seems to be an entry level smartphone. Unfortunately, we do not have info on what’s underneath the hood of the handset, but we’re expecting an entry level to mid range Snapdragon or MediaTek chipset alongside a possible 1 or 2GB of RAM.

The key part of the Alcatel Shine Lite is its camera, with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing selfie shooter said to capture “selfies with style”. Alcatel has also included a rear fingerprint sensor to complete the premium design of the affordable handset. The Alcatel Shine Lite will cost 199 Euros (RM911.86) and is slated to launch in the US, Europe and Asia later this month. The company should be revealing the full list of specs in the near future, so stay tuned with us as we bring you more news like this from IFA 2016!
