Shortly after Huawei CEO Richard Yu confirmed the arrival of the Huawei P40, it looks like we also know how it’s going to look like.
Renders created by OnLeaks show a very slim device with a “quad-waterfall” display – meaning all four edges of the smartphone will be curved. Looking at the renders, we realize that the chin and forehead doesn’t quite curve the same way the sides do. Instead, a small section in the middle of the edge is curved, while it’s being reinforced with a metal frame along the corners.

Moving to the back, we see it adopting the rectangular camera module trend which we’ll be seeing a lot next year. It looks like a sizeable module too, so we can expect up to four lenses in the setup.
According to a report by 91mobiles, the regular P40 should have a display size of around 6.2-inches, while the P40 Pro could be as large as 6.7-inches. From the renders, we also see aluminium borders, a single speaker at the bottom right next to the USB C charging port.
As we’ve reported before, the phone will not come with GMS as the US-China trade war rages on, so the P40 will be the first in the Huawei P-series to not come with the service. Richard Yu has confirmed that the devices will be launched in Paris this March 2020, so we won’t have to wait too long for a look at the phones.
