Huawei P20 and P20 Pro could retail at RM2599 and RM3299 respectively

Huawei’s P20 launches in Malaysia tomorrow, and not too surprising, some retailers have begun to leak more details about the phone’s availability and pricing, as reported by our friends at Amanz, a well known and reliable online retailer GStore (which we also buy some of our devices from) has listed out the P20 and P20 Pro on Lazada, the listing has now been removed at this time of writing due to embargo, fortunately a screenshot has been captured by a sharp-eyed reader, which shows that the P20 and P20 Pro will retail at RM2,599 and RM3,299 respectively, pre-orders will start at April 6 with RM999 worth of freebies to be given away.

Based on these leaked official prices, it does make sense as we have already expected the P20 and P20 Pro to have slight increment in prices due to the phone’s design and cameras, while memory chips are also one of the factors that cause the price to go up. In fact, the slight price bump still gives competitors such as the Galaxy S9+ and Xperia XZ2 a good run for their money, all thanks to the advanced Kirin 970 CPU with AI and upgraded Leica dual camera system, which the P20 Pro features a 3rd lens that captures telephoto shots.

We’ll be live over at Huawei’s local launch event tomorrow, and we’ll be back with more details once we hear more from the officials, but meanwhile, get ready to burn your paychecks on Huawei’s flagship.
