Huawei has announced yet another smartphone which has been rumored for a while now, bring a possible wrap up for its 2017 slew of handsets including the ones from its sub brand Honor. The Huawei Nova 2s has been unveiled, and what it packs certainly should not be taken lightly.
The Huawei Nova 2s comes only around half a year after Huawei announced the Huawei Nova 2. The phone comes with a premium aluminium build with attractive colors like the striking red color option seen in the image above. If you witnessed the multiple rumors and renders of the phone, you will know that the Nova 2s comes with a front mounted fingerprint sensor despite the slim bezels surrounding its display. Speaking of which, measures at a sizable 6-inches with an 18:9 aspect ratio at Full HD+ resolution.
Underneath the hood, the Huawei Nova 2s is powered by Huawei’s flagship chipset from last year, the Kirin 960. It comes in two storage and memory variants – 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage. Like the recently launched Nova 2i, the Nova 2s sports a total of four cameras at a higher resolution. The dual rear camera setup consists of a 20MP monochrome sensor and a 16MP RGB sensor while the dual selfie cam setup comes with a 20MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. The numbers definitely translate to impressive image results in theory, but we shall stay tuned for that.
The Huawei Nova 2s packs a 3,340mAh battery, which is sufficient for the power it consumes. Other notable features include Hi-Fi audio technology, USB Type-C and a 3.5 mm headphone jack which seems to be a cherished feature in 2017. The phone carries a price tag of CNY 2,699 (RM 16,67.65) for the base variant and CNY 2,999 (RM 1,853.01) for the high end model.
