Tablets are not as popular as they were, with companies putting a bigger focus on smartphones, tablets are now limited to a handful of companies producing them. Huawei seems to think that tablets are still here to stay and with the MediaPad M3 which was well received by the public, the company is now working on releasing its successor, the MediaPad M5 based on reports from Mobilekopen.
The M5 will come with an 8.4-inch display with QXGA resolution, same size and resolution seen on the MediaPad M3, support for Bluetooth 4.2 and it will come with Android 8.0 out of the box. They are also giving a bump to the CPU by including the Kirin 960 processor, not the latest from Huawei but still an excellent processor.
It is also worth to note that the MediaPad M5 has just received its Bluetooth certification which Mobielkopen mentioned is the last step mobile devices have to go through before they are released to the public. The official launch date is still unknown, but the fact that it went through its last certification means that it can launch at any time. We could be expecting a launch or announcement during CED 2018 which will happen in January 2018.
