Despite the trade ban imposed by the Trump administration on Huawei, the Chinese company are pushing through the storm and are touted to release the Huawei Mate 30 with their own operating system.
According to Gizmo China, the upcoming flagship series of phones are to be equipped with the newest Kirin 985 chipset, and will be shipped with Huawei’s in-house developed OS HongMeng.

Following the ban of working relationships between American entities such as Qualcomm, Intel, ARM and especially Google, Huawei told the press that they would be ready to continue life without the ever-reliable OS Android; their plan b is of course their very own operating system, and it’s apparently been in development for some time now – suggesting that Huawei may have known of their current fate long before it happened.
This news tells us that Huawei are following through with what they claim; and that there may indeed be life after Android. The Huawei Mate 30 series is touted to be released sometime this September, so it will be interesting to see if issues will be resolved by then.
