Huawei may enter the laptop market soon

After releasing a slew of successful smartphones, it seems that Huawei is ready to expand its product catalogue. The next step in mind? Laptops.

According to various Chinese sources, Huawei is looking to jump into the PC market, although what exactly the company will offer has yet to be confirmed. One of these sources mentions that Huawei is talking about the idea of Chromebooks and Windows machines.  The source states that Huawei will likely use the “MateBook” moniker that it trademarked last year, meaning that a Huawei-made laptop could be a reality in the near future.

Whether or not Huawei entering the PC market is a wise decision is up for debate however, as PC sales around the world has been on the decline. Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see what Huawei brings to the laptop market.
