Following their Autumn Product Launch, HUAWEI has announced the new nova 9, Watch GT Series 3 and MateBook 14s. Pre-order is now available for the MateBook 14s, with the other two devices being revealed at a later time.
The new MateBook 14s will house a similar design to its predecessor, the MateBook 14 2020, with the same aluminium-alloy chassis that it is known for but its camera moved to the top of its display instead of on the keyboard.
The MateBook 14s display has also been altered with a similar 14.2-inch display, but now having a native resolution of 2520 x 1680p and a 90Hz LTPS touch screen that can switch to a 60hz output to save battery life.
HUAWEI also announced its Share feature, where consumers can use the HUAWEI MatePad tablets as a second monitor, similar to Apple’s Sidecar. Other features include a backlit keyboard with a 1.5mm key travel, four built-in speakers and microphones, a 60Whr battery, 90W USB-C charger and a finger print power button.
The base model comes with an Intel Core i5-11300H, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD; it’s priced at RM4,999. You can also opt for the upgraded option too, with an Intel Core i7-11370H, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD for RM6,699.
The HUAWEI MateBook 14s is now available for pre-order through HUAWEI’s Store Online as well as HUAWEI’s official Lazada and Shopee stores. Those who pre-order will receive a complementary HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro, 1-year subscription for Microsoft Office 365, HUAWEI Backpack, and HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse.
