Huawei Mate X2 specs leaked: Kirin 9000 and 50MP quad camera

Huawei Mate X

Huawei has been quiet of late while its peers – the likes of Samsung, Xiaomi, and even HONOR, have announced themselves in 2021.

With January now closing, Huawei will look to finally make their mark in February with a follow up to their foldable smartphone by launching the Huawei Mate X2.

Rumours and leaks have surfaced detailing the specifics of the phone and it appears we may expect a device that pushes with a 6.54-inch panel and a 2,270×1,160 resolution.

For imaging, the phone could pack a 50MP main lens alongside a 16MP shooter, an 8MP lens (likely an ultrawide), and a 12MP module. Under the hood could very well be Huawei’s latest flagship chipset, the Kirin 9000.

The device could be powered with a 4,400mAh battery and will have support for up to 66W of fast charging. The phone will run on Android 10 still.

There’s not much to go on regarding the design of the device, so we’ll hold off on commenting on this until we attain more solid information, which should arrive soon.
