For those eagerly waiting for Huawei’s next flagship phablet, mark your calendar on November 22 as Huawei Malaysia will be selling the Mate 9 officially on all authorised dealers, the Huawei Mate 9 will be available in Champagne Gold and Mocha Brown colors at the price of RM2,699, slightly expensive than its predecessor, considering the recent value drop in the Ringgit currency, the Mate 9’s price tag is still rather acceptable for a flagship smartphone.
The Huawei Mate 9 introduces a significant upgrade to its predecessor, the 5.9-inch phablet is now powered by an improved Kirin 960 processor mated to 4GB of RAM, it has 64GB of storage capacity with MicroSD expansion, a Full HD display and a 4000mAh battery with Huawei’s SuperCharge technology. Owing success to the Huawei P9, the Mate 9 now comes with a pair of Leica certified lens, which comprises of a 20-megapixel monochrome and 12-megapixel RGB sensor with a f/2.2 aperture, the selfie shooter has also been enhanced with a faster f/1.9 aperture while retaining the same 8-megapixel resolution. Aside from that, this will be the first smartphone to come preloaded with Android Nougat out of the box for this year, which also sees Huawei’s EMUI 5.0 software running on top.
As a premium handset, Huawei has continued to offer a premium after-sales service for customers of the Mate 9, which includes 1-to-1 exchange within its one year warranty, free door-to-door pickup service, 3 months LCD warranty, two free cleaning service within the 12-month warranty period and a dedicated VIP hotline service.
