In a recent turn of events taking place in the Huawei trade ban, President Trump has confirmed that American companies are able to continue supplying Huawei with goods – meaning the likes of Intel, Google, Qualcomm and ARM can resume business dealings with the Chinese company, to the relief of everyone involved.

With that said, there is now a revitalized enthusiasm about Huawei’s smartphone offerings, the biggest name of course, being the Huawei Mate 30. Slated to arrive sometime this October, and with the aforementioned news, it’s likely that Huawei will be able to utilise Android again, and not HongMeng OS.

With this revival of interest in the device, this leaked case for the phone bears more significance now – the back panel of the device is likely to be made of glass, while a circle camera module is seems to be replacing the Mate 20’s square one. Other rumours also suggest that the phone will come with a quad-camera setup, not the triple setup many assumed.

What is clear, however, is that the phone will receive the same 50x digital zoom that its cousin, the P30 Pro has. Interesting times ahead for the company, and for consumers too. Although the saga hasn’t quite ended yet, things seem to be moving towards the better end of things.
