Huawei is changing up their naming conventions with their upcoming phones. We have just seen an ad during MWC 2018 which confirmed that the company is not going with the P11 name but jumping up to P20 as the successor to the P10 phones. Now, it seems that the Mate 10 successor will be called Mate 20.
This information comes from a Weibo user by the name of Lumisky which posted up details and specs of the new Mate phones. Based on his post, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, comes with the new Kirin 980 processor, 5.9-inch 2K display but oddly enough, the Pro variant will come with a 6-inch 1080p display. There might be an accidental switch up with the details but we assume it the other way around. Other than that, both will have 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage with an additional 6GB RAM, 256GB storage which could be the Porsche Edition. As for the camera, the Mate 20 phones will come with a front 8MP camera and a dual-rear camera for 12MP + 20MP.
The Mate 20 might come with a price tag of 3800 Yuan for the 4GB RAM variant and 4499 Yuan for the 6GB RAM. The Mate 20 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 4899 Yuan for the 4GB RAM model, 5399 Yuan for the 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and 8999 Yuan for the 6GB, 256GB model with an expected release date of October 2018.
