Huawei has officially unveiled the MediaPad M5 and M5 Pro yesterday to the Malaysian market, a high-end tablet with a focus on offering the best gaming experience on a screen bigger than a smartphone and technologies to offer the best experience when playing games, listening to music and watching videos.
The tablet comes in an 8.4-inch screen size of the M5 and a 10.8-inch screen for the M5 Pro with an easy to hold design. EMUI 8.0 also plays a part in reallocating resources and keeps the user in focus when they are playing games. Powering the device is a 5,100mAh battery for the M5 and a 7,500mAh battery for the M5 Pro. Huawei has mentioned that it can deliver up to 11 and 12 hours of 1080p video playback for the M5 and M5 pro respectively. It also supports Huawei’s QuickCharge technology getting the tablets charged in under 3 hours. Both the tablets come with Harman Kardon speakers that are supported by a smart amplifier, speaker boxes and loudspeaker to offer the best sound when gaming or watching videos. It also supports Hi-Res audio for those of you that like to game or watch videos using your headphones.
The MediaPad M5 Pro comes with the latest Huawei M-Pen, making it easy for users to take notes, draw or just navigate the UI without any issues. The company has tried their best to give the pen the same feel as you were to write on paper by equipping it with 4098-levels of pressure, while the buttons on the pen allow you to delete images, launch apps or take a screenshot. The M-Pen can be charged using the Type-C port and will take about 100 minutes to charge to which, it will give you 50 days of use.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 comes in two colours of Space Gray and Champagne Gold, while the M5 Pro comes in Space Gray and will retail for RM1,499 and RM1,899 respectively.
