Huawei launches new MatePads, Watch Fit, and FreeLace Pro in Malaysia

Huawei has introduced four new products in the country – the Huawei Watch Fit. Huawei FreeLace Pro, the Huawei MatePad Wi-Fi, and the MatePad T 10.  

Huawei Watch Fit

The brand’s latest smartwatch comes in an interesting rectangular shape thanks to its 1.64-inch AMOLED touchscreen display – it pushes a resolution of 456x280p, offering a tall watch face that’s sizeable thanks to it’s the slim bezels surrounding it. 

The body of the watch itself is made of plastic while the strap is made of silicone. You get two colour options here – Graphite Black and Sakura Pink.

The Huawei Watch Fit supports up to 96 workout modes as well as Quick Workout Animation that helps as a guide when you perform exercises. The watch has a 5 ATM water and dust resistance rating so you can take this watch swimming too. There’s also heart rate-tracking, and a GPS tracker for a complete smartwatch experience. 

You get a 180mAh battery that Huawei claims can last you 10 days – while its magnetic charger can power the watch for a whole day with just a 5-minute charge. 

The Huawei Watch Fit is priced at RM499 and will be available this September 9. 

Huawei FreeLace Pro

A new addition to Huawei’s audio lineup of products is the FreeLace Pro, a wireless earbud with a neckband. The earbuds come with ANC along with two “high sensitivity” microphones that help in filtering external noise. There’s also transparency mode that lets you hear your surroundings clearly without taking off your earbuds. 

There’s a pair of 14mm dynamic audio drivers that also plays a part in cancelling noise, while producing audio that has deep bass and crisp mids and trebles. 

Huawei FreeLace pro

The earbuds come with a 150mAh battery that only requires a 5-minute charge to get you 5 hours of music playback. There’s a magnetic snap-on feature that turns off the earbuds when they’re attached together – when separated, they turn back on and automatically reconnects to the device of your choosing.

The Huawei FreeLace Pro is priced at RM399 and will also be available this September 9. 

Huawei MatePad Wi-Fi

We’ve seen the 4G LTE variant of this tablet arrive a few months ago – now, Huawei will be introducing the Wi-Fi only version to the market to complete the MatePad series. Like before, you still get a 10.4-inch FullView IPS panel that pushes a 2000 x 1200p resolution. The screen also TYV Rheinland certified to reduce eye-fatigue due to blue light. 

Under the hood is still a Kirin 910 chipset along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage – you can expand your storage up to 512GB with a microSD card. The tablet comes packed with a 7,250mAh battery.

The tablet supports the Huawei M-pencil stylus and the Mediapad Keyboard cover; the tablet runs on EMUI 10.1 and comes with features such as multi-window mode and Huawei Share which lets you mirror your Huawei smartphone screen onto your MatePad’s. 

The Huawei MatePad Wi-Fi is priced at RM1,399 and customers who purchase the tablet when it launches this September 9 will receive free gifts worth RM500, including a keyboard cover.

If you want something smaller, then the MatePad T 10 is your bet as it comes with a 9.7-inch IPS display. It pushes a resolution of 1280 x 800p. Under the hood is Kirin 710A chipset as well as 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. 

The tablet supports Wi-Fi connectivity, and comes with GPS and Bluetooth 5.1. The tablet runs on EMUI 10.1 and comes with features such as eBook mode and Huawei App Multiplier. 

The Huawei MatePad T10 is price at RM799, but there will be a sale when it launches this September 9 and will see it go for only RM499.
