Even though Huawei has been focusing a lot of its efforts on smartphones, it isn’t giving up on tablets just yet as the company has introduced the MediaPad M3 Lite to the Malaysian market, the MediaPad M3 Lite is a mid-range tablet that has a number of premium features, including a Harman Kardon dual stereo speakers and duad smart PA chips, 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back, while having a smaller 8-inch display with a beautiful 1920×1200 resolution.

Unlike the higher end MediaPad M3, this 8-inch slate uses an entry-level Snapdragon 435 processor as opposed to Huawei’s Kirin chip, you are also getting 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, battery size is also smaller at 4800mAh, which Huawei claims to offer up to 40 hours of music playback time and 9 hours of video playback time. The MediaPad M3 Lite runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android Nougat out of the box, and it also comes preloaded with Office 365.

To celebrate the arrival of the MediaPad M3 Lite, Huawei Malaysia has reduced the price of the MediaPad M3 from RM1,999 to RM1,699. The Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite will retail for RM999 starting October 13 onwards, customers who purchase the tablet will receive a complimentary leather casing in the box.
