Now that the Trump Administration are implementing more lax regulations on the Huawei trade ban, Huawei now aim to ravel out of the obstacle by continuing to push new products in the form of the Huawei Mate 30 as well as with the possible introduction of HongMeng OS, their very own proprietary operating system.
Initially thought to just be for smartphones, Huawei’s CEO Ren Zhengfei have told in an interview that HongMeng OS will be used on routers, network switches, computers and data centres. What’s more impressive however, is that he continues to add that HongMeng OS will be faster than Android and even MacOS.
The CEO adds that his company is still working on the development of the operating system, and although they now have access to Android and Google Play Services, there is still a realistic chance that the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 smartphone will come equipped with HongMeng OS.
Interesting times ahead for all involved as we usher in a new player in market, rivalling the dominance of Android, iOS and apparently MacOS now.
