Amongst all the leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming Huawei P30, there has reportedly been one confirmed truth about the flagship. Huawei’s VP of global marketing Clement Wong has revealed that the Huawei P30 will come with a “superzoom” camera.
According to Android Central, the “top end” P30 smartphone will sport a periscope-style zoom camera that’s apparently capable of significantly higher zoom levels compared to its predecessors.
Previous leaks suggest that the phone is capable of a 10x zoom, so perhaps there could be some truth in that. Oppo had already showed off a prototype camera that does 10x zoom that used a periscope setup as well.
So, it seems like Huawei has won the race against Oppo in implementing a fully functioning periscope camera onto a smartphone.
Android Central had also reported of Huawei’s intention on improving the P30’s ability to shoot in low-light situations, so the P30 series of phone could be a whole different beast when it comes to photography compared to its predecessors.
So with that incredible zoom distance and performance, you can now safely stalk photograph from afar.
The Huawei P30 will officially be introduced in Paris this March 26, but it feels like we pretty much know what they device is all about already what with all the leaks and early fact confirmations.
