HTC may have been under the water for quite some time now, but the company is still working hard to make devices that the masses love. The acquisition of HTC’s mobile division by Google definitely means something in the business side of things, but it certainly doesn’t affect the company’s timeline for its upcoming devices. Speaking of which, HTC has posted up a teaser for an upcoming handset to be launched next month.
The teaser on Twitter, which subtly showcases the back panel of the upcoming HTC handset, gives away an important detail to note. We now do know that the teased smartphone will sport a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, something which has not been seen on HTC’s devices for a few years now.
Two upcoming smartphones are rumored to be in HTC’s pipeline – the U11 Life and the U11 Plus. The former will be a Android One device which will run on stock Android while the latter will be a flagship phablet to be pitted up against the current competition out there.
Regardless, either the U11 Life or the U11 Plus will finally see the light on November 2 which is only a week away from now. Time to hang on tight with some patience before HTC unveils its next smartphone.
