HP’s new Spectre x360 13 has a privacy camera kill switch, priced at RM5,249 onwards

HP recently unveiled the new HP Spectre x360 13 that has a new design that comes with a new Poseidon Blue colour in addition to the notebook getting a privacy camera kill switch.

The Spectre x360 13 is a 13.3-inch FHD IPS display and users can choose to opt for the HP Sure View display which is an integrated privacy screen that can be activated manually. It is equipped with Intel UHD Graphics 620, and it comes with 8GB RAM and either 256/512GB SSD. Other than that, the Spectre x360 13 has up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8565U processor, and HP claims that the notebook is able to last around 22 hours.

Besides that, the notebook comes with an angled USB-C port so that it’s more convenient in terms of cable management, and there will also be two USB-C ports, one USB-A port and one media card reader. The Spectre x360 13 is also equipped with a privacy camera kill switch that is a physical switch that can be switched on/off and there will also be a fingerprint reader for users to log into the notebook. Furthermore, the notebook comes with a full-size island-style backlit keyboard.

The HP Spectre x360 13 is now priced from RM5,249 and can be purchased at HP Online Store and authorised HP resellers in Malaysia, but there will be a special promotion on 12 December whereby users can get a certain amount of discount that has not been revealed by HP so if there’s no rush, it’s advised to wait till 12 December to get the HP Spectre x360 13 for a cheaper price.
