Hotfix for image corruption issue rolled out for the OnePlus X

OnePlus has addressed an image corruption issue on the OnePlus X and has started to send out updates to the device. The new Oxygen OS update is said to include a hotfix, solving the issue involving the OnePlus X’s camera.

The image corruption issue has been reported by some users on OnePlus’ forums and the company has announced on the forum itself that it will try to get the update rolled out to all Oneplus X devices within the next 48 hours.

The 9.5MB incremental update comes after the Oxygen OS 2.2.0 update which was rolled out last month. The Oxygen OS 2.2.0 update came with an additional manual mode for the camera and the option to save captured images onto the SD card.

The OnePlus X is the company’s take on a mid range budget device, sporting the same Snapdragon 801 like the OnePlus One. The OnePlus 3 is set to be launched at the end of Q2, according to OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.
