As Honor Malaysia gears up to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic 7 Pro, the company has announced that its next generation software, MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15, will come to selected Honor devices starting mid-December 2024 onwards.
MagicOS 9.0 is first released on the Honor Magic 7 Pro, which comes with new on-device AI features such as the improved Magic Portal 2.0, it comes with a Circle to Anything feature that promises more user-friendly and accurate experience than Google’s default Circle to Search. A new Magic Avatar feature lets you create and customize a virtual character to be your AI companion, while AI Notes Summarize help summarize lengthy notes and AI Translation translates text and articles into over 11 languages, including Bahasa Malaysia.
The selected Honor devices to receive the MagicOS 9.0 update include the HONOR Magic6 Pro, HONOR Magic6 RSR, HONOR Magic V2, HONOR Magic V2 RSR and HONOR Magic V3. Interestingly, the regular Magic 6 and Honor 200 Pro has been left despite being high performance devices, but we expect other Honor smartphones to receive the update really soon considering the company’s track record of delivering software updates.
