Honor has officially launched the Magic V3 foldable in Malaysia today, in conjunction with the global launch in IFA 2024, the flagship foldable phone continues to be the slimmest and lightest device in its class, while boasting significant upgrades over the previous model, it undercuts the Samsung Z Fold6 at RM6,999.
Sporting a 6.43-inch external and 7.92-inch internal display with eye-care features and 120Hz refresh rate, the Honor Magic V3 measures just 4.35mm when unfolded and 9.2mm when folded, weighing at just a mere 226g, this foldable is almost as light as a regular phone but despite its sleekness, Honor has managed to improve its durability with an IPX8 water resistance while retaining a large 5150mAh battery that supports 66W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.
The Honor Magic V3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, the foldable boasts new Honor AI features that rivals the Z Fold6’s Galaxy AI, aside from its existing suite of MagicOS AI features such as Circle to Do More with Magic Portal and Magic Ring, the Magic V3 gains face-to-face translation that transcribes live conversations, while the HONOR Notes gains live dictation feature that can instantly translate conversations to Bahasa Malaysia simultaneously.
Honor has introduced new camera hardware for the Magic V3, comprising of a triple camera array that houses a larger sensor 50MP wide camera with OIS, 40MP ultra-wide camera and 50MP periscope camera capable of capturing up to 100x zoom, Honor has also integrated its Studio Harcourt portrait mode into the camera experience, front facing cameras of both the internal and external screens are 20MP cameras that’s capable of taking 4K videos.
The Honor Magic V3 is available in three colors of Mossy Green, Silk Brown and Classic Black. Customers that preorder the phone till 12th September will receive free gifts worth up to RM2,896, including a 1-year screen protection, Honor Watch 4, Honor Magic Pen and Honor SuperCharge Wireless Stand.
